✅ Precents Tile Cracks – Gauti Uncoupling Membrane has an open rib structure which allows for in-plane movement that effectively neutralizes the differential movement stresses between flooring and tiles. This completely eliminates a major cause of cracking and delamination on the tiled surface.
✅ Waterproofing – The polyethylene composition of the Gauti Uncoupling membrane provides reliable waterproofing for indoor and outdoor applications. It protects the flooring from any moisture penetrating through the tiling surface.
✅ Load Distribution – The membrane provides a virtually incompressible layer within the tile assembly. The advantages of uncoupling are achieved without sacrificing point load distribution capabilities. The ability of the Gauti Uncoupling Membrane to support and distribute heavy loads while preserving the integrity of the tiled surface has been verified through extensive ANSI 108.10 compliant testing.
✅ Vapour Management – Excess moisture and vapor between the underside of the Uncoupling Membrane and the flooring is allowed to escape through the configured channels on the underside of the membrane. This prevents moisture and vapor from causing damage to the tiling layer above the membrane.
✅ Easy Installation – Cut the Gauti membrane to size if required, then embed the anchoring fleece (which is laminated to the underside of the membrane) into an adhesive so that the entire surface is strongly bonded. Thinset mortar and laminate tape are recommended for a moisture sealed and crack-proof finish.
